A few weekends back, I was invited to check out J Vineyards & Winery's Bubble Room, which is brand new! I had the most wonderful experience, so I wanted to share how amazing this place is. It's a food + bubbles pairing restaurant at the winery (of course, you can just visit their tasting room too). I'm going to just jump to the point and let you know how obsessed I was the food AND bubbles were. I possibly found my new favorite type of bubbly. Wine + fine dining in wine country = a traveling foodie's dream.
The Bubble Room brings together two very accomplished and well known artists - Executive Chef Carl Shelton and Winemaker Nicole Hitchcock. The food was created specifically to showcase Nicole's wines, so they are created to pair perfectly.
The Bubble Room creates a very elegant experience with probably the best service I've experienced, fancy food and bubbles, a huge window with an unbeatable view - plus the room is adorned with beautiful furnishings that make you feel like you're in your wealthiest family friend's dining room. It has a very elegant, yet comfortable feel. The chandeliers are made of glass "bubbles" that fit perfectly into the theme. They were definitely my favorite part. I also loved the chairs - definitely not your average restaurant chair, but rather something I want in my future home!
J Vineyards & Winery was purchased by it's new parent company, E & J Gallo last March. The Bubble Room is open Thursdays-Sundays with seatings at 11am, 12 pm, 2pm and 3 pm and you'll need to snag a reservation on their website.
It'd be an awesome experience if you're just visiting wine country with girl friends, a parents trip, or heading there for a romantic getaway. Trust me - arrive with an empty stomach and come HUNGRY. They certainly serve you ample food and wine! If you check it out, make sure to let me know what you think!
