Last weekend, my maid of honor, Andrea, threw me the most amazing bridal shower - better than anything I could have ever dreamed up! Everything was perfect, down to the tiny details. Andrea, with the help of her mom Annette, my sister-in-law Allison, bridesmaid Jackie, and Aunt Julie, had the cutest decor, bars, games, favors, food, etc.! I am so lucky to have such generous and fun girls in my life, both friends and family. Here's a glimpse into their creations and the party so you can snag some ideas for planning your next bridal shower.
She had 3 types of bars! One was a mimosa bar for guests to make drinks throughout the party, all with cute carafes labeled with various types of juices. She had cute garland tassels that we made together a few months back hanging from the bar, and her mom made me a special bride champagne glass with a tulle skirt (pictured below!)
Another was a bagel bar; my Aunt Julie setup different types of bagels with different cream cheese options, tomatoes, avocados, onions, lox, capers, etc. It was quite the hit and SO yummy!
And the third type of bar was my favorite - a flower crown bar! Andrea and I discovered our obsession for flower crowns in 2014 at Outside Lands (a music festival in San Francisco), so it was awesome that she incorporated that and is a pro at making them. She made them in advance for me, my mom, my future mother-in-law and my two grandmas, and had a bar with the materials and flowers setup for the rest of the guests to make their own! Everyone loved it and joined in - even the moms and grandmas!
Bridesmaids, besties and cousins!
Aunts, moms and grandmas!
My future mother-in-law, me, and my mom!
My sister-in-law, Allison, and my nieces/flower girls!
Flower girl team captain, Gracie girl!
Bridesmaid and bestie, Jackie!
My sister-in-law, Allison, set up such fun games too! We played one called "Guess the Guest" that had all the gals running around talking to the other guests to fill out their questionnaire fastest in order to win. It was a great way for everyone to meet and get to know each other quickly! We played another where each guest guessed my age in a bunch of old photos (see photo below!) She also had a cute bucket list sheet for each of the ladies to fill out with items for Joe and I to add to our own life bucket list. That was perfect for us - she knows how much we love our adventures! I love all the ideas everyone gave us!
Andrea literally thought of everything - she also setup such a "Thank You Card" Station. She bought me cute thank you cards and stamps that go with my whole stationary theme, and had each guest address an envelope with their name and address. It will save me a TON of time when writing my thank you notes!
Finally, the party favors! So darn clever - they had soap (that even matched the yellow theme!) that said "From Megan's shower to yours." I loved that idea!
I am so thankful to the best MOH and so grateful to have such amazing bridesmaids, friends, and family in my life! They showered me in love and gifts and made me feel special at my shower (and do everyday!) ...Now, back to thank you cards for all of my AMAZING gifts! :)
