I've been thinking a lot about essential oils lately as recently I've been hearing them come up in conversations with freinds more and more. From cleansing, to helping with pain or weight, to boosting your immune system, essential oils help you restore balance within your body to make you feel your best.
I recently purchased the Deep Blue Rub from doTERRA essential oils for my back pain. It's in the form of a lotion, and works similar to Tylenol, Icy Hot or Bengay, but is much better for you as it's a natural remedy to relieve pain. It works as a replacement to products I typically would use, but it lasts much longer than 4-5 hours like the other products. The Deep Blue Rub does not divert attention from the actual pain by blocking the pain signals being sent to the brain like Icy Hot and Bengay do. It also does not affect your liver like Tylenol or Ibuprofen. So far I really like it, and apply it before I go to work and before bed on days my back is sore. It works instantly.

What are essential oils?
Essential oils have recently become very popular, but they have actually been around for thousands of years. They are found in plants and then carefully extracted. doTERRA essential oils are Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade, which means they meet the highest standard for quality and purity in the world. These oils can either be used topically, internally, or aromatically.
How can we use these oils in our everyday, busy lives?
There are tons of ways to use essential oils, but here are a few of my favorites:
1) Keep your immune system up!
Cold and flu season is coming and it’s no surprise to any of us that there are literally germs everywhere in the city.My favorite essential oil blend that doTERRA offers is called On Guard.It is a combination of Wild Orange, Clove, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus, and Rosemary.Not only does it smell amazing, but it protects against environmental threats and can help fight off all those germs floating around (Uber, Muni, the gym, work etc.)
2) Boost your metabolism…naturally.
